Hello!
In a few days i'm going to put in my system two sticks of DDR3 G.Skill 1600MHz, a kit 4GBx2. I'm actually using another kit 2GBx2 Corsair Dominator 1600Mhz with lower timings (but this is not the problem) in dual channel. Will DC work if I simply add the new G.skill memories to have a whopping 12GB of ram? I don't think so....or will I loose much speed disabling Dual Channel?

option B) Selling my glourious 4GB Corsair Dominator and using my new Ripjaws 8GB kit from G.Skill ...

I have a Phenom2 965 coupled with a Gigabyte MA790FXT-UD5P

Yea it'll work. Timing settings should be set to the slower ones and kept at 1600MHz.

To run 4 sticks you will probably have to bump up the IMC (CPU-NB) voltage a tad.
