Hey y'all -
Merry Christmas, or Hanukkah, or whatever you do or don't celebrate. Whatever you're doing or wherever you are I hope you enjoy the 25th and the rest of the holiday season.
I thought we could all share what we're doing... I figure most people at least have some of the week off, regardless of which celebration (or lack of).

Thanks man! Happy Holidays to everybody here on B3D as well :).
As for me, I'm spending this year at home unfortunately. My daughter is sick with bronchitis, my fiancee also sick, and I am also sick. We had 3 events to go to this year, the first one was on Saturday, the next one is today, and the last one is tomorrow. Not likely we will make it to today's event or tomorrow's event because we're all sick. Well, mainly my daughter. She has it worst out of the three of us.

While we didn't get to spend ours with family like we wanted to, we get to know that after two hospital visits, my daughter is on the road to recovery :).

She has Croup (http://children.webmd.com/tc/croup-topic-overview). Yesterday (about this time), we went to the hospital to get her checked out. I thought she had bronchitis and so did the doctor that saw her. This was even after taking an xray showing she had clean airways in her lungs. This morning, we took her again because she was having difficulty breathing again. This time, the doctor heard her cough and immediately knew what she had. They gave her a breathing treatment of inhalable albuterol to open up her passageways. After further observation they told us what to do and sent her home.
Now, she's sitting here on my lap watching some Mickey Mouse cartoons. Her breathing is much more relaxed now, but you can still hear it from time to time.

It's different from asthma? I had asthma when I was a kid but I outgrew it as I grew older. Hence, it would come back from time to time due to certain extreme circumstances like allergens + extreme stress.. eventually I would get an asthma attack but not as frequent when I was a around 10 years old. Since I was allergic to dust and pollen, it's hard for me to clean and play outside. Hence my pulmonologist recommend exercise to strengthen lungs which I did through swimming since there's no pollen or dust in water LOL

Very different. Croup is more like a common cold or Flu (ish) whereas Asthma isn't.
It's different from asthma? From the link, croup is viral and causes coughing, so it doesn't sound exactly like asthma, although granted both are respiratory problems. CDsDontBurn, sounds like she's better, so that's good. I hope she gets well soon.

Thanks. She is sounding better today than she did yesterday. Yesterday morning when we took her to the hospital she was sounding horrible.

Everyone ready for the new year? Any good resolutions? Any bad ones?
Winning the lottery :-P.
More realistic though would be finishing my bachelor's degree, getting a good job shortly before or after I graduate, and get started on my certificates to compliment my bachelor degree.
Everyone ready for the new year? Any good resolutions? Any bad ones?
1366x768 is a bad resolution. 1080p is good. I'll never tire of this stupid pun. :)
Every year at this time I recount my display resolution. I had 1600x1200 for many years, but last year it was 1600x1200 + 1920x1080, and this year the Nexus 7 took centre stage with its 1280x800 resolution.
As for the other type of resolutions, I never make them specifically at this point of the year. This year after the Steam summer sale I had a resolution to stop spending so much money on games I don't play, and I upheld it to a large extent. I still succumb to temptation occasionally, but not nearly to the same extent I did for the first half of the year.
