Got this info from our friends over at Monarch Computer (http://www.monarchcomputer.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=80152&Category_Code=AMDB) and thought I'd pass it along in case any of you are in the market for AMD combos.

"We offer free setup on all of our combos. Not only that but we offer free gifts as well. This includes:

1) A downoad coupon to Half Life 2
2) A Lance Armstrong wristband that donates $1 towards cancer research, for free
3) A free gift out of a selection of items
4) A Patriot SD USB Flash Kit
5) And Bet on Soldier Game.

Our AMD chips are the lowest price around and we have extremely
competitive prices on all other components as well.

If there's an issue with the combo, we'll repair it and pay shipping
both ways."

Check out the AMD combos over at Monarch Computer (http://www.monarchcomputer.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=80152&Category_Code=AMDB).

Man, all those free gifts makes for a sweet deal! And the last sentence really surprised me... Monarch will fix any issues you have with your combo! Wow, that's adds a lot of comfort to a purchase if you ask me.

They offer Sempron, Athlon 64 and Opteron bundles. Keep in mind that quantities are limited on some of freebies, and the Athlon 64 / Opteron (http://www.monarchcomputer.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=80152&Category_Code=AMDB) bundles seem to offer the most free stuff. 8)

By the way, Monarch has a kickass lifetime rating of 9.2 at ResellerRatings.com (http://www.resellerratings.com/seller2079.html), so you can feel good about buying there.

I'm curious...

Do any of you typically buy bundles when you're shopping for a new board and processor?

well, I usually just look whatever is the cheapest, if it comes with free stuff, hell yeah, I will buy it (that's if I need it or even with these freebies, it's still cheaper). I don't buy that much parts to upgrade (no funds  ) but for me, price is far more important than the bunch of useless bundles:).

I agree. It doesn't matter what comes in the bundle, just what is will cost me  I also like to choose each part individually, so usually the bundle option isn't available (guess I'm too picky :P)
