What does everyone think about X3? I saw the teaser trailer and it looks like Brett Ratner didn't screw this up like everyone predicted but I guess we will have to wait next year.

It's just another movie I won't see.

Not a fan of Xmen but read the Ultimate series or is there anyreason why you wouldn't see it. Have you seen the first 2?

I like the X-men. And, yeah, I'm a closet comic reader.

I just don't go to very many movies. I'll take my kids to see Spider-Man, even though it's PG-13. The violence isn't the issue since it's "cartoonish" and not showing blood spattering and such. It's the language that I have a problem with. The X-men movies swear too much for me to comfortably take my children.

It's a shame.

When have they ever swore. What type of swear words do you mean? Like crap or ass. I don't think they say anything even close in X1 and X2.

They do. Not a lot, but it's there enough so I won't take the kids.

I saw them both during my some of my travels, staying in hotels with HBO or some other movie channel. I like to preview movies before I think about renting or buying for the kids.

Those two words wouldn't be so bad if that's all there were. Spider-Man contains that level of vulgarity, so I let that slide.

Plus, X & X2 were quite a bit darker than Spider-Man and I didn't think them suitable for children. Remember: They're 10 and younger.

X2 was darker but I tihnk X1 is fine for kids. They aren't as dark as the new Harry Potter & Goblet of Fire movie.

Yeah I get them when they are released but my brother has a huge collection. 100s and 100s he has. Half is DVDRs and other retail bought.

He should open up a rental store!

Did he buy a bulk package off Ebay?

Ah not he just buys them when they are cheap.

Slow and steady it is, then. Still, that's a lot of cash invested.

He must have misunderstood when he was told to invest in CDs!

It COULD be fun... it COULD be fantastic... but it COULD also blow chunks, big time.

I have a friend who worked on it in Vancouver and he said it could go either way from what he saw.... he said Ratner is balls out insane and will pretty much do anything that came to his mind.

...he also hinted to me that the post-apocalypic scenes in the teaser trailer could contain certain mechanical beings with a knack for tracking/hunting mutants  :) For that, I am stoked
