King Kong?

What did you think of King Kong? I thought it was too long and obviously Peter Jackson is a huge Kong fan boy, but I still thought it was a very good movie. The final scene on the Empire State Building is amazing; it feels like you're on a roller coaster!

I loved it! Several of my friends thought it ran long and would have benefitted from a 15-20 minute trim-job. Personally, I thought it was fine the way is was. The short breaks in the (sometimes very intense) action was refreshing.

I rate it 4 out of 5 bear-paws! :)

Peter Jackson tried to make King Kong before Lord of the Rings but didn't. a 3 hr long movie about a giant ape shows his devotion to it. I never saw it yet and will probably wait till dvd is out. 3hrs in a movie theater I probably would fall asleep.

I fall asleep in movies longer than 2 hours and I usually have to pee real bad about halfway through (getting old sucks). But I made it the entire 3 hours without a nap or a whiz. The beginning is fairly slow, but once they hit Skull Island the action makes the time fly by.

i think it is okay. NOt the greatest movie. It's a nice remake (much better than whole a lot of other remakes). Still it's too long and a bit too much of the same old actions in my opinion.

I did not get the change to watch it yet.
My expectations are really high since Lord Of The rings was made so well, this man adds soul to his movies and usually the outcome is marvelous.
Visual effects should be delightful.

The movie is great! The beginning was boring, but it get better later on.

I think the movie overall was great! The movie was VERY LONG and I really think a movie shouldn't be 3 hours.. Time is money as they say.. They should really cut out the unneeded scenes and make the movie shorter. (Beginning)

The thing I like about it was look at Kong, he had scares from previous battles in life. He was not the perfect looking ape that the previous movies had him as.

That was a very good detail in my mind.

Yeah Jackson is a stickler for that and really put the smallest detail like that.

I watched it a week or so ago with my girlfriend and we enjoyed it, although she was freaked by the bug scene (I thought it was great!). Also...who ever thought of a jurassic traffic jam? ;)

I wasn't expecting to enjoy King Kong all that much, but found it to be very entertaining and exciting. The wife wanted to see it (surprisinglly) and she enjoyed even more than I did! :)

Very well made film, no LOTR, but a worthy follow-up ;)
