Yes it is indeed! I always thought Dragon's Lair was an interesting idea, using animated scenes for the game. Now, the graphics of most 3D games can just about match those used in cartoons.

Probably air cooling. The 2.4C was an OC'ing king a few years back.

Yuppers...nothing but a stock CPU fan and some thermal paste stands between my CPU working and going ka-boom!

annd no I haven't played F.E.A.R lol. I'm not big on FPS...about the only time I play FPS is when the theme suits me.

And thats why I asked....cause I wanted to know what fans does he use and if the system is totally stable and so on...:confused:

Yeah, 2.40c Northwoods were usually reaching 3 to 3.2ghz on air, without a major need for more exotic cooling.

Planning on giving mine another shot as I found a guide using a vanilla IS7, and they got a retail Northwood 2.66ghz to reach 3.7ghz, and a 3.0ghz retail Northwood to reach 3.8ghz. I thought those FSBs speeds were beyond the IS7's ability, but apparently not...

Actually, 2.40Bs should overclock much better! That's because the "B" has a 533FSB, and the "C" has a 800mhz FSB... The lower FSB on the "B" chip means it also has a higher CPU multiplier. So not only do you have plenty of FSB headroom, but you have a higher multiplier to work with as well!

That is why the Pentium D 805 is everyone's favorite $125 dual core solution, it has the exact same setup. 533mhz FSB with a huge 20x multiplier, it can go right on up to 4ghz before things start getting out of hand... If Intel releases a Pentium D "905" to clear Presler inventory like they are doing with the 805 Smithfeilds now, you could expect to get beyond 4.5ghz still with better power/thermals. Intel already plans to phase out the Preslars, and they're currently suffering from a large oversupply but little demand, so it is possible.

command and conquer? i loved to play that game when i was 10!!! that was the game id be playing all day long, for some reason i liked strategy games then and it stuns me what weird games i played then :confused: just like my neighbour when he plays WoW all day long, but he quit so its all good :)
