So since I won the 7800GT in the December contest I need a new board since I am running AGP. So this is what I bought but haven't recieved yet:

ASUS A8N-E

Some extras to go along with the board:
OCZ Ultra 5+

And to cool that hot NF4 chipset:
Zalman fanless chipset cooler

Oh forgot to mention other parts. I only bought a new board and I am gonna use my 3000+ which is a huge bottleneck but those 3000+ venice chips OC like hell. I OC my 3000+ to 2.8GHz fully stable though this was at 1.7V which is the max I wanna go. I usually have my 3000+ OC'd to around 2.4GHz@1.4V for gaming and 2GHz@1.4V for everday use.

WOW!!! Congratulations, werty316!!! That's an awesome motherboard. Altough, for overclocking, I still prefer the DFI NF4 Ultra-D over the ASUS A8N-E.

But hey, I wouldn't mind having an ASUS A8N instead DFI Ultra-D, if I could only have a nice 7800GT to install on it.

I was thinking about getting the DFI NF4 Ultra-D but I am not really into the DIY part of this board. I just like the basic features and nothing too technical. I was on the impression that you have to twek the Ultra-D to get it work work without a hitch but I could be wrong.

i have the dfi nf4 sli-dr. I think the dfi's board is that if you got a one that works well, then it will work superb, but if it's not working great (ie some component that's causing problem), then it is a heck to get everythign to work fine. It will work fine as long as you fine tune everything. My DFI works great, I have not get any problem with it. The only troulbe with this board is the northbridge as it's just below the pcie slots, so it gets crammed and the cooling is not great (it's normally around 50 degrees). HOwever I love this board as it's rock solid and stable. I have not have any problem with it at all.

Asus do make good board and the board you listed seems to get decent reviews.

Yep!!! Both the mentioned ASUS and DFI mobos are absolutely great. I personally think that the DFI is a bit more good for overclocking. But when talking about quality and reliability, I think that the ASUS is a bit better.

I am not a hardcore OC'er so the ASUS should suit just fine. I was thinkin about getting the Neo4 since I have a Neo3 and love it. Also that Zalman fanless cooler will come in handy with the hot NF4 chipset and troublesome fans on them. Heres a Zalman someone modded on a Ultra-D. Talk about crazy:
