A new worm is spreading fast accross the net.
Hiding behind a number of pornographic disguises the
new W32/Nyxem-D worm
also known asEmail-Worm.Win32.VB.bi or W32.Blackmal.E@mm
hides itself under a message containing
obscene films and pictures.
If it is lauched it grabs email addresses from the infected
computer(s) and attempts to disable firewall and AV products.
Subject lines used in the malicious emails include the following:

*Hot Movie*
Arab sex DSC-00465.jpg
****in Kama Sutra pics
Fw: SeX.mpg
Fwd: Crazy illegal Sex!
give me a kiss
Miss Lebanon 2006
Part 1 of 6 Video clipe
School girl fantasies gone bad
The Best Videoclip Ever

The Nyxem-D worm can also pose as pictures of the Kama Sutra.

Damn, and I always open those emails and their attachments on the off chance that it might be legitimate porn. Guess I'll have to avoid that one.

I guess I should have written "those ones" , except for "The Best Videoclip Ever". There's no way that would contain the W32/Nyxem-D worm, I don't care what they say. That one has to be legitimate.

Heh, thanks for the heads up Schwarz, but seriously, who opens up all the junk mail that they receive, especially with all of the viruses that pop up virtually every day?

K.I.S.S. - Keep It Simple Stupid! If you don't recognize the sender then DON'T open the message!

Yeah I read a story the other day about porn pictures even having root-kits behind them getting installed somehow. I think I read it on C-Net but can't find it now.

It seems that the "Kama Sutra" worm, set to unleash so much damage on February 3rd, has been nothing more than a blip on the map it seems. The damage level was minor, according to some reports.

You can read more HERE (http://www.techspot.com/news/20349-february-3rd-worm-damage-level-is-minor.html).
