OK so I got my 7800GTX installed and windows installed. I installed nForce v6.70 drivers (excluding LAN and Audio drivers) and then rebooted. Then I installed Display drivers v81.98 and then rebooted and then came into a problem, windows xp boot screen is displayed but it never boots into windows. I tried installing display drivers 1st trhen nForce drivers but my computer still doesn't boot into windows. Should I install eveything included in teh nforce4 drivers like LAN and audio even though I won't be using them? Also which drivers do I need to download form nVidia's website? I downloaded the nForce4 but I noticed there are nForce X16 driver too. Which ones do I need to use? I have an Asus A8N-E board.

I advice you to download the latest drivers (nForce drivers) from ASUS website. In addition, you should download the display drivers from NVIDIA website.
So, I guess you'll need both drivers, altough, like you said, you won't be using them. Anyway, install EVERYTHING.
I would suggest you NOT to download the latest drivers, since there is a chance that there are still some unsolved problems and/or bugs in the newest version (but that's only my opinion).
GOOD LUCK!!!

when i install Nforce drivers i usually only avoid the Audio not the LAN install .
LAN is integrated part of the chipset bust for the sound (since days of NF2) it a bought chip .
anyway if you think it's driver related try booting into safe mode and if windows load ok - it is driver if not it's almost never driver problem.
the X16 version is for boards in which SLI is 16x2 and not 8x2 .
yours is NF4 ultra not X16
