Well we had to expect it...
Is ATI getting their secret weapons out ?
As for right now ASUS's search and development team came out with a card holding 2 X1600 GPUs on the same board.
This boad is of course Crossfire enabled.
On the other hand the are researches made by Gigabyte on X1600, x1800 and ever the new x1900 series.
These cards could possibly be paired up with the RD580 chipset.

Ah yes, right, got'em mixed up. :P
Still Quad Crossfire VS Dual SLI?!
...the mind boggles
And to think one day I will have something like that sitting along side my Voodoo2 SLI boards in the drawer saying god remember when that was decent hardware? And now I woulden't even bother plugging that in to try it out. (I can't wait untill then)
It has been about 10 Years from my Voodoo2 Sli Rig, and gaming was not even realy popular back then.
By 2016? I wonder..................

No no when i Mean 2 Dual geforce I mean 2 geforce with 2 GPU = 4.
So that makes it Quad SLI but I say Dual because its one card with 2 PCB with 1 GPU on each.
erm...anyways...
