It appears that "Big Media" is finally going to accept file-sharing among end users or at least provide a legal version.

There has been and always will be a percentage of the population that won't care about legal downloading. This won't stop them and isn't designed to do so. But the average user should be inclined to go with an easy and inexpensive download option.

I think it can only be good for everyone.

Arrrggghhhhh. I hope they make it cheap!
Why should I bit torrent (or P2P) and share my bandwidth for them and still pay?
$2.00 a movie. Shure.

Untill then......... There mine for the takin. lol.

I havent grabbed a movie from the net since the second Starwars came out, I still saw it in theaters.

That's the question, isn't it: What is the price of a "legal" download worth? This won't be the same for everyone so they need to figure out what MOST people will pay and just accept the loss of the remainder.

The problem I have with the idea of download movies is the same I have for services like iTunes. For music it makes sense, there's rarely a CD anymore where I find that I like two or more tracks. But for movies, I sure as heck don't want to download some compressed version versus a quality DVD pressing.
