Canon has won, Thuesday, in Intellectual Property High Court, Tokyo, agaisn't a small company called Recycle Assist Co. for violating the company's patent rights.
Recycle Assist Co. were importing and selling, for a cheap price, Canon-branded cartrige that were recycled in China.
This means that the small company was washing and injecting ink in the used cartidges.
In the consumers point of view, this shows that the big corporation will keep monopolising the market and keep on charging the big price for ink cartridges.
I am not sure if Canon realises that recycled products had about 5.5 to 6% of the market share in 2005.
