They kinda sound like a gimick thing to me, I'd rather have a normal video card. Call me old fashioned I guess.

a nice idea but I think it may never reach the mass production because of the cost and the implementation. Althogh it's nice to see new innovations to the industry.

if they will make it in very wide range of prices from 7300 - 7900
and the reviews will show it works like other cards why not?

For me I just don't really like the idea, to many parts and connections to break along with the fact that you'll have to you moble drivers on a desk top box, leaving more room for even more problems. I'll stick to a standard desk top card for a desk top box thank you............. 8)

I remember reading this and I don't like it one bit. Its long and the idea of upgrading doesn't lean me towards even thinking about it.

My current grfx card is already upgradable and disposable too!

When it no longer functions properly due to excessive demands, I upgrade it and dispose of it all at the same time. Very efficient.

Of course, sometimes the ram, motherboard, cpu, case, & psu get disposed of too, but hey, that's what I call progress!

I am pregressively getting poorer. So sad.

I want to be rich so that I can afford a non-disposable card.

Hmmm, I think that this card is not a good idea, first, they would have to do cards of the same pcb size, furthermore, imagine a geforce 9xxx with a pcb of the older 7xxx. The power requirements would have to be the same with every card. I think that it is an unrealistic product.
Sometime ago, I saw a card similar but you could upgrade your GPU and memory separately. Could you imagine old DDR 128bit memory with a new 7800GTX GPU?
Maybe it would be useful in a future where memory reach technologically the top speed

I think the over all basis was a good idea but I also think the idea will completely blow and burn out. I think the swappable chips won't be good enough to compare to one with the chip already built on, and that ppl would only get one merely to fiddle with it if they had the money thats what i think about it
