Yeah I am just really interested in what people would see as the perfect game or the game that isn't out yet that you would love to come out. For me I want an insane zobie killing game where they are slow, and millions of them, anything can be a weapon(Lawnmower, chainsaw, kitchen sink) with amazing graphics, a somewhat comical storyline, and just cause you cut off the zombies arm, torso, chopped them in half doesnt make them dead!!! I would really love a crazy grenade/explosives engine physics so when a zombie gets hit with a nade or home mande pipe bomb they blow to pieces or lose limbs and a red gelatinous goo flies everywhere. There would be a multiplayer thing where there is about a 10-1 ratio of zombies vs ppl you can be either, if ur a zombie ur goal is to kill the humans by throwing other zombie limbs at them adding other zombie limbs to your self and being more powerful, biting, kicking, running, kamikaze zombie, it's all good. Well that is really all I have though of love to hear what other ppl want in a video game so yeah put up a post with what u want!
I think that one of the best games ever released is Starcraft.
There are some rumors that there is going to be a sequel in the (very) far future. As we know Blizzard, even if they'll decide to work on it, will take decades until it will see daylight... ;)
It is just a great game, A perfect 10 !
So if you ask me, this is the game I would kill for... :)

I want an epic Star Trek game to be released. This is a truly underused IP(intellectual property) with great potential for a truly immersive gaming experience. Imagine...
+A fully simulated galaxy with literally 10000 star systems, each unique.
+Every race, ship, star, planet, space station, asteroid field, anomaly, character, environment and technology spanning the entire Star Trek Universe and in every time period from Enterprise to Voyager. Everything would be meticulously recreated with a full range of interactivity between everything in the game, from a Tricorder to Tribble infestation to a Borg invasion of the Alpha Quadrant with 1000s of fully rendered, correctly scaled, fully freighting and powerful Borg Cubes.
+A massive political, economic, strategic and interspecies simulation spanning the entire galaxy with a real AI that reacts realistically to every situation and changing situation.
+A multi-tired gaming experience:
-Be the President, Praetor, Chancellor, or Queen of your favorite race and manage the big picture on a massive galactic map featuring 1000s of star systems, full ability to make or break alliances, back stab, promote doctrines of conquest or of uniting the galaxy, discover new technology or just exist. This would be much more in depth then climbing a "technology tree" to the top, or from just conquering planets to get more resources; rather real world situations would determine what you get or lose.
-The next level of game play would have you as a large scale admiral managing the entire space fleet of your race. You would manage the compliment of your fleet; build rates, resource prospecting and even fight the political battle to have more resources and attention paid to the military aspect of your race. You could be on the committee and bargain for more Destroyers on the Caldara front or promote a new weapons system and try to get a pro-military cabinet to help your future war ambitions. As outlined above, you would have the option to have a similar experience as a lead politician, scientist, admiral, ambassador or explorer.
-If you are more into action, then the next down level of game play would involve being a local commander of a fleet of starships, a cluster of star bases or a star system. This is where the real-time combat would take place, and it would make a Klingon proud. Massive fleets of star ships, or just a few, would engage in full scale fleet battles, star base and planet sieges, quick raids in enemy territory, convoy escorts/raids, assignations, strategic maneuvering, and full 3D combat. The battle system would involve full freedom of movement in all 3 planes and eliminate the idea of a "map" but instead the entire world would be rendered "in waiting" allowing a seamless movement from one side of a star system to another. The battles would be very involved and moderately paced, with your control over such things as fleet formation, overall objectives and tactics, sub-groupings and automatic doctrines such as attack, kamikaze, defense, or captain's discretion. The ships would be meticulously recreated and have the correct weapons and handling, take real-time, fully positional damage that would affect the system hit(i.e., the engines are hit with a torpedo and the engines go out and a hull breach on deck 9 is reported) and even allow for beautiful, fully destructible rammings and explosions in multiple steps. All of the sound, graphics and feel of a giant fleet battle would be exaggerated by the sheer level of chaos and movement in the battle, with massive Romulan Warbirds being swarmed by Klingon Birds of prey while Borg cubes cause your captains to warp out of the sector by fear of their size alone. Everything would be scaled correctly and involve a constant battle chatter. In addition to the ability to control the entire battle from a fleet commander’s position, you could at anytime take command of a single starship and have your control interface change from one of strategy to one of ship to ship combat, allowing you to engage yourself in the first person and try to pull off a critical maneuver to swing the tide of battle in your favor, when this fails, life pods will be ejected and the next nearest ship will fall under your command, unless you choose to go back to strategic control mid battle.
-Another mode would allow you to live out the life of an individual of your race, in what ever position in life you want. Be an Orion slave girl, a profitable Ferangi in the slave girl trade, a young but ambitious ensign in the Federation, an old but wise Klingon warrior, the Emissary of the Prophets, a mindless Borg drone or a tribble! Each ship, space station, planet and star system you inhabit would have every deck, corridor, room, Jefferies tube and consol, 3D chess board, carpet color and noise that would be expected in what ever said environment you are in. You be able to travel, circumstances allowing, to anywhere you can go, make or break relationships and just basically play out SimTrekkie.
+Each of the 4 modes of game play, from Race Leader, to Head policy manager, to local commander, to individual would be intimately connected by the same coherent universe and real time universe, with every event affecting your course in life. Here is an example: Your live on Betizead as a shop trader. The Jem'hadar attack and a torpedo from the above space battle randomly hits the planet. The city 5 Glocks away is destroyed. You see the mushroom cloud to the east, where it really landed on the planetary grid. As the fleet commander of the Jem'hadar, you decide to land a ground invasion and enslave the population. The shop keeper is now a slave to the Jem'hadar. He has no super powers with which to get out of bondage, he has no reload feature to start over, and his abilities are realistic. The game would feature this awesome sense of realism and simulated reality when you are able to watch events unfold from your perspective and only your ability and decisions to guide you. You will have this sense of place in the order of things. As the Federation Head Admiral, you must orchestrate a counter attack to this invasion. Your fleet will consist of what you can pull together, or off from the assembly line if any new ships were created recently, and manage the entire movement and progression of your fleet towards it objective. You would then switch to fleet battle mode and fight the Battle Of Liberation to save Betizead.
+Each thing that happens in the game no matter how grand or small, would have this sense of "happening" and continuity in the game world, as every decision and occurrence has a real impact on the game. Each time you fight a battle, or get demoted, there is this huge sense of context that makes each occurrence an "event" that truly feels like an episode of Star Trek. You know why, what, and when things are going to happen, or maybe you may feel like you are powerless to stop a huge event like an invasion. Either way, this is way more then just point and click game play with predictable results, but a living, breathing universe fully simulated with over 10000000 individuals, 100 races, 2000 ship types, 3000 technologies, 10000 star systems and spanning the entire Star Trek timeline.
Of course, this is just the beginning of my idea; this game would be so huge you would probably only do one thing one time ever, resulting in a never ending game play experience. Epic music from the likes of Hans Zimmer or John Williams would accompany the game play while advanced graphics from 10 years from now would create the next best thing from the holodeck itself, which this game would feature. Battles that take hours to resolve, with huge debris fields left over, permanently until the scavengers and pirates take it apart, following the life of a single person in the universe, whose life may be 5 minuets or 5 months or 5 years (real-time), or assimilating the entire galaxy over the course of 8 months game play as the Borg Queen, or flying every ship ever seen on Star Trek in battle against every other ship ever seen in Star Trek. This would be Star Trek: The Universe.
I will pinch myself now and wake up from this dream...
I am a Praetor. Praetor Null.
However, in the Star Trek game aformentioned, I would be one of those fast buzzy thingies from ST:TOS.
I'd move faster than anyone else and misplace their phasors, or steal their communicators, or push their chairs out of the way before they sat down.
What a gas it'd be to see some bad ass Klingon go into battle with his pants yanked down about his ankles.
Altthough there is Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combinations, the world is not ready for Star Trek: The Universe.

You had me on the floor right there, brillant
I too wish computers would get more powerful quicker, so $15 million could be devoted to content creation and another $15 million to the game engine to actually produce such a grand simulation. If pulled off right, maybe with a pheomonial relaunch of the currently dead Star Trek franchise, it might be possible, in 10 years or so maybe. If noting else, just give me the tactical battles and I would be happy. :D
It ain't much, but it's somethin'.
The world may be ready for Star Trek: Legacy this fall on the...

Star Trek Legacy looks VERY interesting indeed, I came accross the news the same day I wrote the post above, almost like an answer to prayer!
I will be following this game until release, also Star Trek: Online looks promising as well. Both of these games seem to contain asspects of my ideas above. We may see Star Trek: The Universe yet...
