I think it would be cool if you guys could review certain hardware in more realistic systems that ppl might have instead of crazy highend sli systems that falsify the numbers. Cuz yeah a 7800gtx is crazy but not as crazy as when it is in a 3000+ system ocd compared to an fx60 system with 2 gigs of ram, adn crazy fast hdds, you know what i mean. I think that if you geared your reviews toward more average-mid highend systems ppl would find the reviews a lot more relevant to themselves, or if you did like several tests on a couple systems ie. Say you are testing ram say you put it in a crazy fx60 system with 7800gtx 512 sli- a mid range x2 3800 system with 7800gtx 512/256 , another system with like a 3800+ system with a 7800gt, and a lower end system like a 3000+ with a 6800gt. Like gear systems down that you test them in so ppl will have a general idea of what it will do in their system. I have always just wanted to find one site that does this maybe you guys can......

I good thought about reviews is if you review a lets say 7800, 1800 or 1900 series video cards you need to use a faster CPU as to not bottle neck the video card. This is a direct opion aobut video card reviews. For ram a good overclocking board form DFI should be used to show the full potential OC'ing results of the reviewed memory. I think using more realistic hardware in some situations would hinder the performance of the reviewed hardware. You gotta push it as far as possible.

I can totally understand doing a video card review on a less than top end system.
Many people out there are considering purchasing new video cards to upgrade their mid range system. When the new cards come out it's nice to see a review that shows them how it will perform on their system, not just how well the cards perform on top end systems.
It's nice to see how well a card performs in an optimal situation but it's also nice to see if you'll actually see a benefit from upgrading to a new video card or if you'll just end up being CPU bound and maybe you should consider something else.
There are tons of sites out there reviewing everything when it comes out in testbed systems, it's nice to have a place that reviews hardware that they use in their own systems. From what I can tell, most of the reviewers here try all this hardware out in their daily use system, much more relevant to me. I don't want to see how something will work in a perfect, sterile world. I want to see what will happen if I plug it into my system. What kind of conflicts or software incompatibilities I may come across.

XJnine has hit it on the head with what we review with. We use our day in day out systems and do not reformat them them just to do a review. Heck the 7800GS was reviewed in my sons system just by updating to the drivers that came on the CD with the card and testing his 6800Ultra againts the GS.
His system has not been reformated in almost 1.5 years.

Put that is essentially what i said but a bit more dumbed down(my version ) But still i think if possible u should test anything in as many different set ups as possible

If you look, all my product reviews are done on a middle end platform.
