Apple is about to be sued because of the risk of having hearing damages.
Reports show that apple`s Ipod can go higher then 115 decibel, a volume that can damage your hearing if used more then 28 seconds a day.
On the other hand French Ipods have already been flashed to not produce more then 100 db.

well, I think it's a common sense that if you play any sound that's too loud, it will damage your hearing.
Anyone know if Apple's portfolio includes any interests in hearing aid technolgies?

Just file this in the folder for one of the dumbest law suits ever.......... Just think of all the others that will follow if this goes through, companies will get sued for everything that makes loud noises, like a home music systems with those huge speaker systems, they have to go way beyond 115 decibels. Or all those rolling boom boxes on 4 wheels...............

i sometimes don't understand what people are suing for .
if you hear the music too load i t will affect your ear
it doesn't metter wheater it was from iPod or somthing else
music in clubs is noiser and still people go there
also there are people that will be hurt in less then 115DB so what will you do next limit the music to whisper.
if they want to do something change the scale f volume to show the DB vaue and not the just numbers draw the volume in red above 100db or such

The easiest solution to all this sueing junk is to shoot all those money grubby lawyers out there..................... I know I'd stand in line to wait my turn at bagging one of them to hange on my trophy wall.
That is a real stupid sue.
People just can't get greedier than that...
Although history proves that sometimes these stupid sues, idiotic as they may seem, get a very nice compensation.
It is the ךש' instituteד that give those people the legitimization and freedom to take advantage and milk the system as hard as they can.
Think about it...

I think next time I go to the gun range I'll shoot all day without ear plugs and then I'll sue the gun manufacturer for making a product that operates too loudly. :?
