A faster Wireless network? I hope this is true. I think we really need to make a faster wireless network that can sustain the data over a longer range while maintain a good transfer. IN addition, it should be like today's cellphone where you can keep using it on the road.

NEW YORK (Reuters) - International Business Machines Corp. (IBM.N: Quote, Profile, Research) on Monday said it has developed new chips for quickly transmitting data over wireless networks.

The chips use a portion of the radio spectrum that can carry more data at faster speeds, IBM said.

Now that what I'm talkin' about!

So, science is finally starting to catch up with science fiction.

Add voice capabilities, say Majel Barrett, and you've got:

"Computer, activate program."

Wirelessly. Seamlessly. Effieciently.

No major processing necessary for communications, displays, or handheld devices.

It's all done from the central core through means of wireless transmissions.
