I was wondering if anyone here has managed to install a videogame on their iPod so they can plug it into any old computer, and just run it off of their iPod I thikn this would be useful so you could play games at work, or school, or if you have another computer, at your cottage and don't want to install all your games onto that computer.

I do not quite understand how this would be possible as the Ipod has no 3D graphics abilities, no operating system to support gaming and a bad control interface, just to name a few of the problems.
However, you could store game CD/DVD images on the Ipod HD and then just transfur the file to the destination computer and install from there. Also keep a copy of Deamon Tools on the Ipod to read the images!
Please elaborate on your idea so I can get a better sense of what exactly you mean by install a videogame on their iPod :D

You could use your Ipod as an external HD, but when it comes to game installs, more is done then just copy the files from the CD to the HD. There are registry settings, config files and uninstallation information that is also written and is based on the individule computer, so there could be problems, not to mention that the Ipod HD is not very fast I think.
Just use images like in my previous post and that may work out better! :P
