Heres a fresh review of Thermaltake newest case, the Eureka!
This is a very slick looking case from TT.

Yeah, but I really don't like how HDD cages are set up, it obstructs the airflow of the front fan too much. I prefer the HDD cage to be parallel to the side of the case (like the cage in the Tt Tsunami).

I prefer the HD cages perpendicular to the case. Its easy access and while there is an obstruction of airflow it won't hinder performance by a big deal; after all a fan can only cool as much as the surrounding air. My case has the same type of HD cages as the Eureka and My HD stays cool between 24-26-c all the time :D

I think this is a knock off of the Gigabyte 3D Aurora case same perpendicular HDD rack, similar in design has permounted watercooling pipe holes pfffft who do they think they are copying Gigabyte

Well if you think about pretty much all case designer copy aspects of another case and call their own. Gigabyte and TT aren't the only ones with that style of HD rack

True, I've seen lots of cases with that style of HDD rack, it's nothing new. Even if that style gives you easy access to the HDDs, having a parallel-to-the-side-of-the-case removable HDD cage still gives you easy access (since it's removable) plus the SATA plugs are in the mobo's direction, for easy reach of the cables even in bigger cases and it makes them so easy to hide. Plus the airflow is better of course, but we already agreed on that. If you live in a cool place where room temps are in the lower 20's degrees Celsius then some airflow obstruction might not matter much to you, but when you live in a hot place where room temps are around 30C, like me, then it's a different story. Even if my case's HDD cage wasn't removable I would still prefer a parallel-to-the-side-of-case HDD cage, mainly because I don't remove my HDDs every day, but the airflow is being affected everyday. I love cases with high airflow efficiency, probably because I live in a hot place and I'm always looking for better, more efficient, ways to cool my PC. 8)

Also, Tt is definitely copying the Gigabyte Aurora case, it's bleedingly obvious. Case companies may copy some things now and then from each other but Tt is known to be the king. And I'm not bashing Tt nor I dislike their products, hey my own case is a Tt Tsunami which I LOVE, but you gotta admit they have a tendency to frequently make cases similar to the ones from other companies. True that sometimes they make them even better, but still... Anyway, that doesn't bother me one bit since we are the winners in the end. The more cases they make (even if they copy it), the more we have to choose from.

Yeah the tsunami is a copy of ENermax Big Wave I believe but yeah they do definately copy, and i do like their case as i have the Tsunami as well I am just saying that this case is a clear copy of the Gigabyte one with the holes for water cooling, the same sidepanel holes to see in the only real dif is this case has a diff front, and lacks the cool light thing in whihc u can make ur own logo...

Hell, even the front panel is similar, with that stick-out-buttom-part design.

PS. I think the Tt Tsunami is more a copy of the Cooler Master Wavemaster than the Enermax Big Wave.

and the USB and **** is on the side
I dont blame Tt for copying it was a brilliant design by Gigabyte, the only thing it lacks is the tool box inside..

Wow.. this is one of the few TT Case I actually wouldn't mind owning :)

I mean.. TT has been very well known for its heavily premodded case, and the color "ORANGE". This is actually a clean case. I think it has lots of potential for being modded. I might have to consider this case for my next mod possibly.

The only think that really threw me off is the mesh front panel. From the picture, it initially looked like it was free air flowing, but after I saw the door open, it looked solid.

Nice review, this may be a case that falls in my short list of future Case Mod Cases.

That's the same as the TT shark, just a bit longer that all, which was released before the Gigabyte........... The Shark also has holes for water cooling tubes, but just for their own small tube style.
The Gigabyte was first released in the summer of 2005 (6-20-05) and the Shark was released way back in Sept 04.
I think we really need to read a little more and learn about each companies product lines so you can know what you are talking about before we start throwing stones..............

You'll also notice that there are several other differances between the cases. The Gigabyte is alot shorter that the TT Eureka, being about the same as the TT Shark. The Gigabyte has 2 rear 120 fans where the Eureka and Shark only have one. Next is the front fan, both TT case fans have to be mounted from the front where the gigabyte is mounted from the inside by the drive bays. Another big differance is that TT uses their standard drive rails and Gigabyte uses the tool less method.
So although the cases are simular, they are different in a number of wass................ 8)

that's a really nice looking case. I wouldn't mind to have that awesome case. though I hope it's in black color:).
