That's a great PSU Calculator. It's the first time I hear about it, but I've just tried it and it seems to give pretty accurate results.

I'm using this PSU calculator and recently I was using it to calculate my required power consumption for X2 3800+, with two 7900GTs in SLI and I got a result of 484W. Now, my current PSU is OCZ 520W, so I guess it will be OK. What really worries me is that my PSU has only a single-rail +12V with ONLY 28A and the minimum requirement for SLI is 35A, so I really hope I won't need to upgrade my PSU...:confused:

If you put your info in correctly it has always normally come fairly close to what I've figured in the past.

As Bio said you must have provided wrong/added info to the calculator.Be sure to check only those which you have now & are intended to buy.I've always found it about right.

The site normally does.......;) They put a lot of work into it to try and make it as correct as possible. But there is still a margin of error as there is with anything made by human hands. It's still one of the best out there that I know of...............:)

Yep, i agree.i've told some of my friends who didn't have any idea about how to understand that how much power they need if they upgrade their PC & after visiting the site, they are now pretty satisfied by that.:)

I put in everything exactly as I have it, OC'd CPU, mem, single vid, when I add the pump I plan on getting it goes up to 920 or so, I think i see what i did, in CPU options I put quad CPU(thinkin quad core not 4 seperate cpu's) now it makes sense

Yah for those that haven't used the calculator be very careful not to put in the
System Type
Dual Processor or quad processor
Yes you might have a dual core or a quad core but you still physically have ONE processor.
