I am not sure it will be a WOW killer, since it is almost impossible...
After all, it is Blizzard you're talking about and the enormous success of WOW is not even arguable.
With that said, I sure hope it will be as close as it can get...

if it is well made there are still a lot of people that love the D&D universe and can make their mis\nd about what to go with.
i hope for them they will do an open Beta because i remember from WoW beta that a lot of bugs were fixed during the beta and gone from the final product.

I love the D&D universe, I even still play the traditional way, with papers, pencils, maps, candles and actual people ;)

Beta? they must have one, you can't release a MMORPG without one...

I wish I had time to play something like this. I had such a blast playing Pool of Radiance, Curse of the Azure Bonds, etc on my C64 back in the day as well as pencil and paper versions before that.

Sigh.. Just don't have the time anymore. It also seems that there hasn't been many good true D&D games out over the last few years. Some similar (Neverwinter Nights) but not much with the actual D&D name.

Let's not forget Eye Of The Beholder.
One of the greatest for my opinion.
Pool of Radiance, wow, just a great one.

There isn't really enough time now...
