With Office Live, Microsoft is offering free Web domains, e-mail and Web site hosting as well as other services that will be sold on a subscription basis once the effort moves from beta to final status around November.

Important, don't get it wrong, Office Live is not an online version of Office...

Office Live should become a starting point for small businesses wanting a web presence and a general platform to run their business operations.

Interesting!

Very interesting. I have a neighbor who runs a small business that may be able to use some of these features.

Not sure how I feel about it being web based and stored on MS servers though... :?

I'd wait to hear some reviews on this, security issues, stability...
This may be a perfect solution, if stable and secured.

Microsoft and secure are not always synonymous

Oh come on...
Microsoft have good products in global and we all use them.
It's their popularity that makes them a target and as we know, nothing is perfect.
If you look deep enough, you'll find a security flaw in every software (Fire Fox, anybody?).
