LG Boosts LCD Contrast Ratio To 1600:1

Way to go LG...
LG Electronics has announced a new display technology called DFC (Digital Fine Contrast) which will increase the contrast ratio of its TFT displays from a typical level of 700:1 to a new industry high of 1600:1. :shock:

LG makes some of the top LCD's IMHO, but they are also pretty high dollar........... :shock:

I was a bit hesitent about LG in the computer market and thought they wouldn't go anywhere and wouldn't popular but I was surprised by there products. On eof thier 17" LCDs was on my wish list but they were a little too much.

LCD is cool looking but the image is still not good enough as the CRT's. The good ones are very very expensive and I still like the CRT's image better.

I do like gaming on my CRT better than a LCD, but my LCD is much easier on the eyes when I'm working for long hours on a article.

I guess that why I have both on my desktop................ :wink:

It would appear that the days of the CRT are numbered... embrace LCD, whether we want to or not :P

On the subject of the LG LCD: 1600:1 contrast!!! Wow, that's pretty crazy. I bet it must produce an amazing image though... I've found that LG computer products overall to be excellent, but their appliances and whatnot are not up to snuff... especially their LCD TV's... which I find odd. :?
