it looks as the next generation of VideoCards will have an amazingly speedy memory
With such phenomenal processing speed, we’re able to offer video card manufacturers the bandwidth for incredibly life-like movements and richly textured imagery that will soon rival that of cinematic movies

are we looking at a whole new level of gaming ?
is memory speed that important?

Yup, looks like this technology will take the games industry and development into the next level.
But it will take some time until we'll be able to enjoy it on our screens.

these things take time but because it goes to graphic cards i can see it happens in 1 year
if nvidia could launch GF10000 with 3.2GHZ Memory and 2GHZ Core
it will defintely do so

Ohhhh, those numbers sure sound good.
Unfortunately, I believe It will take longer since GDDR4 final spec is yet to be ratified...

Yeah, I hope you're right!
I want it to be out ASAP as we are the ones who'll enjoy it.

Now I am only speculating so don't take this as the truth. But wouldn't it kick ATI in the teeth if the 7900GTX used this RAM when launched next month? You know NVIDIA and Samsung are in a tight working relationship.

Couldn't agree more
the only question left is what will be the power consumption of the memory....

Interesting, that could really hurt ATI, but my guess is it will take a little longer before seen and integrated into a finished product.
Although I hope I am wrong and we'll behold a true ATI killer.
