That's a beautiful piece of software.
Although I am not sure it will give us more then DK9.
Maybe some GUI changes and added small features but in bottom line, the defragment process itself remains the same.

Thanks for the review!

The only time I tried Diskeeper my harddrive failed during the defrag and became a doorstop. I know that Diskeeper doesn't destroy drives, I've just been too afraid to use it again.

Great review. I use Diskeeper 10 and love it. Its a change form version 9 but doesn't take much to get used to. If I wasn't using Diskeeper, O&O would be my next choice.

Good review. Bjorn's idea of starting the comparison from an archived image the same for each product was genial.

However comparison was with Disk Keeper 10 released this year and PerfectDisk 7 released a year ago while PerfectDiskLive was released six months ago. And there were a many DiskKeeper adds in the text. The performance results for the two systems were very close but Disk Keepr 10 costs twice PerfectDisk 7. So I was not convinced by the conclusion.

Since both products claim that they need to run for several days to achieve optimum performance I would like to see some comments based on a longer trial period. :?:

Thanks for the compliments, and I will update you soon on a comparison as both have been running steadfastly on my computer since the review...I'll just have to find time to set the test up again :D
