Sony is one of the leading companies when speaking about MMORPG.
It has not less than 5 titles in this genre...
Since picking one up is a hard mission, Sony now offers a 40 $ package that will include one month for each of these:
Everquest Evolution, Еverquest 2, Planetside: Aftershock, Star Wars: Galaxies and Matrix Online.
Planetside: Aftershock is an exception since it is not considered RPG but more an action game online.

This is the first time a company offers such a thing, as I recall...
What do you say?

That is quite the package of MMORPG's.... but aren't some of them (IE: Matrix & Planetside) nearing the end of its lifecycle, with little or no support/clients? And haven't most of the hardcore SW players left Galaxies after the latest major overhaul, which fundamentally changed their characters and the game itself?

I'm not a MMORPG'er, but $40 is a good price for those games I suppose, so long as they're still around by the time you bring the game home :P

In addition, don't they all have a monthly subscription fee, on top of the initial purchase price?

As I said in the original post, 40$ is just for one month per game in the package.
This will help you choose what game you like (if any) and continue paying for it from that point on.

Sorry, I should've stated my question differently... Are there different monthly rates depending on the game? I would think that Star Wars and the Matrix would cost more because of the licensing of the properties and whatnot...

Too bad Sony didn't take the next step and introduce a consolidated subscription model for their MMORPG'S. It would have been nice for them to offer a flat monthly fee you could pay to have access to play for all of these games.
