next gen ipod rumor?

just saw the news that hinted the next gen of ipod. Apple has really gotten some big money off their ipods. According ot the news, it seems like the next gen of iopd will be touch screen and it will increase the screen by significant amount when the clickwheel is replaced by the touch screen.

This is interesting news, as I sell Ipods myself at Circuit City. They have been very popular indeed, but this may have more video conscious people coming in droves.

These devices will also help to bring portable video to the mainstream, but having the ability for Itunes 7 to convert DVDs to Ipod videos is a must, as people will not be willing to just buy TV shows that they can see for free. Right now it is possible, but only with 3rd party software and multiple steps that non-geeks cannot perform. Technology is progressing at an amazing pace, and these Ipods coming so soon after the 5G Ipods is testament to that.

ipod is sure an amazing little gadget. though I personally think that in order for it to be a true portable video player it still needs some fine tuning and working. I think current ipod is not that great for video playback. What I really hope is that apple will incorporate FM tuner into the ipod (instead of the stupid ipod fm remote, which the remote itself sucks as well).
