it could be that PS3 will only launch at US soil on early 2007.
any delay and specially missing christmas season could cause Sony to loose a lot of buyers.
XBOX360 is here since novemer 2005

Really??? Apart from the very small amount that was released that early, there have not been any more in the market. If you weren't one of the first few in line on the day they were available, you can't get one.

I think a delay is better than releasing few and building malcontent amongst those who would have been a customer. I believe what Microsoft did is more risky than a delay will be for Sony.

I'm looking forward to the PS3. I don't have a PS2 or XBOX 360, but do have a PS1 and an XBOX. I think that the PS3 will be the better machine in the long run and worth the wait. I also believe that it will help bolster the Blue Ray technology as the next version of DVD.

To quote the great Dennis Miller, this is just my opinion, I could be wrong.

the avaiability is relevant because since novermer 2005 the developemnt stops .
even before this means that somy in still dveloping and testing the PS3 .
and if so it is not ready for public

Do you understand that most people don't care what goes on behind the scenes? Who cares that Microsoft stopped developing their hardware as far back as November? You do realize that Microsoft didn't release the XBOX at the same time Sony's PS2 hit the market, don't you? You do realize that they were still "developing" the XBOX while Sony had stopped on the PS2? That argument holds no water and is irrelevant to the delay of the PS3.

Sony is still developing because they want to release a machine that will be better than the 360. This is how companies compete. They try to out do the competition, which may mean waiting to see what exactly the competition puts out before nailing down thier own spec.

I would rather by a superior product late, than to by crap now.

the integration of Hardware from diffrent manufaucturer especially new designs\products is very hard.
you can't be sure that it will work flawlessly the moment you plug it in

i totally agree with you but timing in terms of sell is very important and if the option is selling 1m units or 500k units the decision is very hard.
and the timing of christmas is very important a lo of people will buy new console and if sony is not there a lot will get microsoft.
