All versions of MMC newer than 9.06 simply refuse to function properly when scheduling a recording via Guide+. This using both an All-In-Wonder 9000XT and an All-In-Wonder X800XL.
I'm currently using an nForce2-based Asus A7N8X variant which only supports single channel ram, but had the same issues on the dual channel version of this mobo as well. I'm also using a Hercules FortissimoIII for audio.
I have all newest drivers for motherboard, video and soundcard installed and have also tried older driver sets for video as well, all to no avail.
The funny thing is 9.06 works without a hitch, but no matter what I've tried, scheduling just doesn't work with 9.08 or newer. In MMC 9.08, ATI's scheduler crashes upon scheduling an event, or at boot. With 9.13 which features TitanTV, Guide+ warns it's unable to detect a tv tuner, and although the ATI scheduler reports no issues, scheduled events just don't launch.
Anyone else with this problem? Any solutions?
I'm very pleased with 9.06, but 9.13 has some really interesting features, like TIVO enabled at tv launch. No more missing anything because you forgot to turn on TIVO. :D I like the look of TV too...just a bit more polished somehow.
