I was considering buying Timesplitters 3 for the gamecube but the price for it in the Uk is about £30 in most of the shops and online shops where are the PS2 and Xbox versions you can buy for a fiver.why are gamecube games so expensive?

Probably because bGamecubes are selling like crap compared to the PS2 and Xbox. If they're going to spend the time and money to make a game for the Gamecupe they need to make sure they recoup their cost. Since they can't do it with sheer volume thay have to do it with higher prices for the ones that they do sell.

In my area (Canada), the Gamecube games seem to be in a similar price point bracket as the XBox and PS2 games.... The XBox 360 games are all at least $10-$20 more though! "Next Gen" indeed...
I'm not sure as to why they're more expensive in the UK? Are the games you are looking at the same title for all of the different platforms? Or perhaps one platform had "exlusive" rights to the game for a certain time period before it could be released on another gaming platform, therefore making it a "Greatest Hits" and cheaper title?
