Windows Vista - Memory Management is based on the avaiable memory of the current PC if you have more memry it will use and and if you have less it will use less .
in the following articale you can see a screenshot of vista runing on 512MB machine and uses 237MB only
it is very intrestin g reading and short also

That's good news, many people will be happy if the Vista will be able to run on weaker computers and less upgrading will be needed.

i saw the article as well. I am not sure exactly how much it needs but my own experience is that vista do uses more memory/resource than xp. If feels sluggish but maybe that will get imprvoed with new revision as we gets closer to the release date.

it is a newer OS and XP was using more then 2000.
but until final release is out we will have to wait

It is only natural for a new operating system to consume more memory than its previous version, we saw that in the past...
Every time a new OS is out, memory manufacturers are celebrating ;)
