Why does the gallery images add to your post count?

As the question states, it seems that the gallery images count as posts. Do these count also for the contests, or is this an accounting error that should be fixed?

Ok, was just wondering, I noticed it when I was queing up some images in the gallery and found that my post count was skyrocketing, was like !!! :shock:

Not a biggie, just a nit, thought I would point it out.

Well, the photo gallery is in part connected to the forum (so that you don't have to create a new user just to upload photos there).

However, I'm not happy with the integration so far and when we switch to the new forum (probably will be vbulletin 3) the integration is much better.

I will then look over an issue like this. Normally this isn't a problem since post-count really doesn't matter but when we run contests liek this it could matter. Right now we just check the gallery and subtract any images done during the month from the post-count.

Good to know, I figuared images were too cheap anyway to count for a contest. :D
