"Sanyo and Quanta face an uphill battle in the flat-panel TV market
Japanese-based Sanyo and Taiwanese-based Quanta have announced plans to form a joint venture to produce flat-panel televisions starting in July of this year. The two companies will invest as much as $65 million into the joint venture and will produce both plasma and LCD TVs."
