Sometimes I run my ram a little on the overvolted side like when I'm using some OCZ PC3200 Gold with BH5 ICs, they like a lot of volts (3.6v at 2-2-2-5 at DDR 500) and normal air flow inside the case sometimes isn't enough. So I came up with a idea to make a bracket to hold a case fan to cool the ram when it's under extreme stress................ 8) I wanted the cooling fan to be easily removeable so I could quickly remove it when I wanted to switch out the ram for whatever reason.
Anyway, this is what I came up with.

It's made out of 1/8" plexi that I bent with a heat gun and then I cut a 80mm hole in it for the cooling fan.
The lip on the MoBo side has foam tape on it so that when the bracket is slid in-between the MoBo tray and the MoBo it it fits nice and snug and there's no noise or rattles.

Here's a pic of another one I made for a friend of mine after he saw mine.............. 8)

Another nice mod, well done! This mod looks great and is quite useful too i guess. I want to mod my computer too, but its hard to find good modding parts in Estonia, espessially if you don't live in Tallinn (I don't live in Tallinn). So I haven't modded something yet, but have some good ideas for modding I'm planning to do soon. Keep modding your computers!

Nice mod, looks very professional to me :) Have you found that it made a big difference? Post up some temperatures for comparison ;)

I have no real method to take any temps on the ram............ All I do know is that it keeps it cool to the touch while benchmarking and keeps the ram stable when I'm at 3.6-3.8 volts when I'm running my OCZ BH5................
