I have a suggestion regarding the “Members News” forum.
I think it should be One thread Per member Per day and the member should Update\Edit his post with new links or do it as it is done in the SAMSAMHA “Daily News”.
The way it is done today causes the forum to be flooded with news.
It will make the forum easier to read and navigate.
Currently a lot of interesting posts are lost because news are constantly coming.
Also if this is technically possible maybe it should be a forum within a forum
Example :
Members News --> Today News --> Posting
And when a query by time is done it will show only the “Today News” has been updated and not the actual posting.
Anyone who is interested in the current news just click to see the updates.
Great idea, I think you're right!
I'll call it, surprisingly, pymNews ;)

That's a great idea. Since a lot of memebers are posting their own "news" and sometimes it's hard for one members to see/read all the news, which results sometimes in posting the same news twice (or more...), I think it will make the "members news" section much more organized.
Great idea, pym!!! Hope it will be implemented soon.
Hey zachig,
The idea is liqnit's idea, not mine ;)
I suggested the Members News to gather all members' news in one place, but that was not organized enough, this makes it just perfect :)
I believe this will make the forum much more readable.

I like this idea, too! Another great idea from liqnit! At the moment there are too many news topics in Members News forum to keep eye on them and it's quite hard to navigate there. I don't post many news, but if i do, i'll call my news alxnews and post all news in one topic!
Hope this idea will be in use soon.

It makes it very easy to double post something, now you have to scroll through all the different threads to find out if something has been posted or not, oh well, such is life................ :?

i think double posting is somthing that could happen and people are looking at the big picture and it makes the navigation easy on the main page

sounds like a good idea. Yeah, let's keep the forum organized, and avoid double post a lot of news that's posted in daily news.
The idea is not to prevent double posting, it is to prevent flooding the forum with news and "swallow" all other discussions :D

Seeing as hardly anyone ever has a discussion on a news post (maybe a comment or 2, I see no reason for grouping it all into one and having to go back and edit all the time. Most of the visitor will never do a search and the site will loose traffic.........

The way I see it, what you said is the exact reason to use this grouping method.
As you said, news are not discussed usually and they end up just flooding the forum.
When I do a last 24 hours query, I expect to see discussions, not news thread, and another one and - oh, wait - another one!
To do that I would suggest putting a sticky thread with news sites and visit them from time to time, no need to copy paste them ;)...
However, if I find a really interesting news item, I would post it separately...
But then again, that's just me :)

Just seems kind of funny that no all of a sudden it's just every now and then that folks post news and it needs to be all in the same thread, but when I went back to when several people were in the hunt for their card, there is news post after another spread out all over the forums............. I did go back and look over the past few months.................
I'll just keep doing my thing, copy and paste like the rest of the news posters from the past..................
