This is rather an interesting article. Apparently, the author claims that MS won't ship another OS after Vista and even if MS does, it won't till 2015. The author claims that the factors contribute to this facts includes that Vista is way too big of a software, also the change in the OS (ie google's OS), as well as the fact that MS lost some of their people to google.
I found that the article is quite simply amusing. It may have some truth to it, such as that MS takes quite a long time producing an OS, as well as the possibility of google's OS, which may change the way we see computer. Still, I think that even if google have their os, I don't think MS will be gone so fast. I think MS is a huge company it will basically have ways to keep up with whatever teh changes in the industry. I think that we can see that MS is never a trend setter but they constantly is able to revive from defeats and product something that's just as good as their competitor(ie IE over netscape ,etc). I think that MS also has been taking strategy for the future of the OS.
I do think that MS maybe a bit slow with their OS release, but agian, I think that sometimes it's a good thing if they can make a good product(unfortunately, that's not usually the case). Still, I really doubt that MS won't be able to keep up with the desktop OS market given to the reasons that the authors claim in the article.
