Using mostly SCEA's official PS3 photos, from both 2005 and now 2006, I have compiled a decent collection of images that compare the models side by side.

2006 ones have lost ports but the vents needed are better

I am not surprised it has airvents since the 2005 version did not. This would be a big problem with heat if they didn't put any.

Currently if you dont seat the xbox 360 right theres major problems in venting because on the 360 theres only 1 grill type venting port... so i think the cooling for the ps3 will be much better than the 360's

Yeah the 360 had major heat problems among other thing when it was released. M$ should have tested it more before releasing it for Christmas. This shows you that M$ is all about $ though this isn't a surprise.

lol thats is all totally true, ms is only about making money not taking their time on quality products, i was furious when the first xbox came out because theyre followers not leaders, wasnt it nicer in the days when money had no value, what am i talking about money had value all the time...
And if you look at the 360 there is actually on very few portholes to vent, i find this very unappealing performance wise and asthetically, check this picture out if youve never seen the rear of a 360 before...

There is even a full disassembly on anandtech.com on it here...
