I never liked Nintendo ever since the GameCube. This Vagi...errrr "Wii" console is gonna make or break Nintendo since this is not your typical gaming console if it is even considered one.

What do you mean, "if it is even considered one"?

Nintendo said that if you are looking for a pure gaming console like the 360 and PS3 then the Wii is not for you. I can't seem to find the link for it. It was news from last week. I'll see if I can find it but I doubt I can.

Hah... if it's not a full blown computer then I'll label it a gaming console, whatever they might say about it. Don't worry about finding the link, it just sounded like you yourself was claiming the Wii wasn't even worth the label of a gaming console. ;)

I think they based it on because it doesn't have the "horsepower" that the 360 and PS3 has. I think this is why Nintendo is going a different directions with the console being more than a game console.

Figured this was more appropriate in this thread rather than a new one.
Sony Executive Recommends Wii as Compliment to PS3 (http://www.dailytech.com/article.aspx?newsid=2332)
Sony Exec agrees with Microsoft Exec regarding Nintendo's Wii
In strange turn of events after E3 ended this week, Sony Computer Entertainment executive Phil Harrison agrees with Microsoft’s Corporate Vice President Peter Moore regarding Nintendo’s Wii. A few days ago Peter Moore was quoted saying that consumers could purchase a Microsoft XBOX 360 and a Nintendo Wii for the same price as a single PlayStation 3. According to GamePro, Harrison said console buyers should buy a Nintendo Wii in addition to a next generation system, whether it is the XBOX 360 or PlayStation 3.
"I think Peter Moore is exactly right," Harrison said. "I think Nintendo will be the second system consumers purchase after PlayStation 3. I haven't had a chance to check out the Wii myself, but Nintendo has a great history of innovation and has always done great things for gaming and long may they do so."
