Very nice card and great performer too! Congratulations alx737!

Btw...can you add some benchmark results later too? Cause I wanna see how it works in "average" computer (in case you still have P4 like described in your signature) and not in some top end systems (which they mostly use to bench such cards).

Have a nice day! ;)

yes since your pc isnt high end, those would be some very interesting benchies to see... i bet theyd still be pretty high considering your old p4. its like my low benchies which im too embaressed to show or tell hehe

EDIT: alx now you can change you sig!!!! the Mx400 or something is finally replaced! :)

Johnie

Exactly...we dont (at least I) about high end benchmarks...all I wanna see is how it performs in average computers - and I know that still very good! (not much worse than in some high end comp - but dont use 3Dmark 05 or 06...cause they give more value to CPU than older versions...so results might be lower than expected).

And Mousiness...dont rush things...what if alx737's m/b doesnt support this card? Then he wont be able to change signature yet (but would need to get new mb first) ;) Finally...what r u complaining about....to embarassed my a55...hahhahahahahaha...you machine is very decent...not high-tech-top-end but still....very ABOVE average! And I believe your benchies look quite nice...post'em..come on....hahahhahaha...  ;)

wait a minute he didnt put it in yet? he said the video card solved all of his problems, and yes on average pcs itll work out above-average scores by a bit, but still enough power to game. Id rather not post these benchies, ill look weak against you guys so i wont post anything, at least until i get the conroe  the id be happy to post my uber-super benchies :D

EDIT: yeah i was wondering about his MoBo because thats a PCI card that he has.

Johnie
05-21-2006, 05:10 PM
Hahahahaha....I am happy if he is able to use the card without buying new one - will surely save few $$$!

Conroe huh? Well...who wouldnt be happy to post SuperPI score of around 12s....even Johnie would be celebrating bigtime (with many many coke-rockets for sure) if he would be able to get his hands onto small tiny "device" called Conroe....   ;)

Who knows....someday for sure...but when....:p

mousiness
05-21-2006, 05:13 PM
lol when is the question, probably in december or sometime in july, i will be sure to celebrate with tens of coke bottles when i get that 12k score with the new quad-sli system, lol jk i could never afford that, but maybe an 8 series more realistically

Johnie
05-21-2006, 05:15 PM
...sure you can afford...ask all your relatives to donate something (i.e. for your birthsday) for good cause....and i am sure that $1000's will be pouring into that bottle of coke and mentos mixture....   ;) JK...dont take it too personal or seriously...

mousiness
05-21-2006, 05:21 PM
theres nothing personal about taht but ok lol, well my dad came back from his trip and gave me 350 euros so thats about $497 CDN which is going to my ipod nano but thats about the most money i get in a year, maybe i can squeeze some money out of old toys on ebay and garage sales, maybe even some out of my grandparents.

HAHA now that I know where you live sleep with one eye open HAHAHA jk

Thats a neato cooler on that card. Also I think he needs a new rig since he has a 1.7GHz and a GF2 and I don't think a board that runs those parts is PCI-E.

iPod nano????, and you said you didn't want to spend $ on wasting Coke but you want a iPod nano lol

mousiness
05-21-2006, 06:41 PM
LOL NICE, oh yeah about that cooler, its not covering the RAM blocks, what would be awesome before putting the card in is putting RAMsinks onto the RAM blocks taht would put a lot of performance juice into that card too, and if you do be sure not to forget the bottom RAM blocks lol

werty316
05-21-2006, 06:48 PM
RAMsinks are only needed if he is planning of OC'ing. I wish by just adding them it would give VGA cards more performance lol

mousiness
05-21-2006, 06:51 PM
well it does keep them cooler which help a bit, but what you said is full truth you only need em for OC'ing more lol

Johnie
05-21-2006, 07:11 PM
...with or without ramsinks...just be carefull with your iPod mousiness in case you're really gonna buy it...dont format it...cause I heard that many had major problems later...and even complete reinstall didnt help much.... ;)

And yes, selling toys on ebay and crying to grandparents might help you get much more money than dad "donated" to you (although you should be very thankfull....350Euro is quite nice sum....even more for a 13yo)...

...you and me know that werty316....but it seems that some kids still dont...;)

But hey...if mousiness thinks he needs it...and has the money...I mean why not...I would personally rather buy "ordinary" mp3 player (or some combined if i wanted to watch video too - although I also believe this is total waste of money...because who would watch anything on that small tiny screen??? noone...because there are PC's and TV's all over)...but since thats not me...let him chose for himself....agreed? ;)

i have 3.5 gbs of actual songs i listen to and 11gb of all my songs, in reality the 4gb is too small for me but i only listen to 3.5gb of my songs so its good for me, and i have no idea why we keep going off topid, its just me i guess i change the mood. im mike mary jane lol jk

Johnie
05-22-2006, 02:18 AM
Wow...that must be hours and hours of music....you hardly get bored then...cause it takes months before same song comes back again...

But still....11GB total....alot from my view (cause I dont listen music that much - I rather turn on the radio instead), but on the other side...I know someone who has 400GB+ of music....so what do you suggest he should buy to listen to all of them while outside? 1TB iPod - just to be on a safe side?  :-D :p ;)

mousiness
05-22-2006, 02:25 AM
lol haha nah, the most in a lifetime wouldnt even be 30 gigs, yeah for me to listen to the same song twice i have to go through about 4 moths worth of music

damn man that IS a good gaming card, so why do people always say in their specs x800GT (im not a gamer) its better than my damned video card and now theyre saying its not for gaming?!?! that makes me mad because i know i need a new video card because im a gamer.

werty316
05-22-2006, 07:27 PM
The X800GTO is an ok midrange card.

mousiness
05-22-2006, 07:29 PM
exactly, but people consider them as low range cards that are useless for gaming, i find that an insult to people who cant afford or cant put the card into their systems

If you want to play at 1280x1024 yes but the X800GTO should be fine at 1024x768.

true true, i guess its not really for HD or detailed gaming but it does the job good
