In case you didnt knew....7950GX2's are already available in Israel...so book a flight there and buy them asap...afterall...they only cost $850 / piece!!!   :paw:
We’ve learned that a local Israeli distributor called CD-LOG (http://www.cd-log.co.il/)has shipped many Leadtek 7950GX2 units to few local Israeli hardware shops (http://www.plonter.com/detail.tmpl?sku=PX7950GX2). The price is around 850$ but that insane and extremely ridiculous price is not the official MSRP price by NVIDIA. We also know that NVIDIA delayed the release date to the 5th of June and it is still under non-disclosure agreement. But it doesn’t bother to CD-LOG and Leadtek. The cards are already in the shops, every Israeli fellow can buy one; but make sure to buy it quickly before they will remove them from the shelves until the 5th of June.

A 7950GX2 is not worth the $. Aren't they suppose to sell for $990-$1200USD? Heres the source link also:

WOW, that's waaaay too rich for my blood... I'll pass on that, thanks. BUT, that should drive down prices of the 7900 GT/GTX's right? ;) :)

The 7900GTX could drop in price; peeps at The Inqurier think so:
We also beleive that Nvidia plans a massive price drop for its current top end 7900 GTX cards to make some space for the new Geforce 7950 GX2 cards.

if the GX2 will bare a comaprison to SLI system on single slot then the price is not so bad to one who can afford SLI system
but as i see it this two combined cards still have to use single x16 PCie slot so it cannot use the full 32 lanes avaiable at the SLI x16 system
and there fore they should be performing less good then a SLI system

But what if it actually is designed to be one card with logic on the card controlling that issue?

Only way to know I guess is to wait for reviews on it when it is released.

that card is HUGE and the HSF sucks too, if nvidia is gonna make such a big card then why not add a proper HSF unit since the price is already uber-high? nvidia is going insane all of a sudden and their older cards IMHO are much better than the current ones not in performance wise but quality wise, i think my next card is going to have to be an AATI for its extra features and better HSFs, or ill buy an nvidia and void the warranty to add a proper copper zalman HSF to the card8-)

Adding a HSF to a EVGA card doesn't void the warrenty. The person on the phone at EVGA actuailly recomended using a Zalman VF-900 on their 7900 GT cards.

eVGA has great warranties and properly cared for cards, but any other manufacturer thats what i meant about:-D

Interestingly enough, as of writing this, no matter who you got your 7900 series card from, they were still all built by Flextronics in China with the exception of a few VIVO models from XFX, so most of the cards in question are being built to NVIDIA’s demanding specification.

They are all 100% the same card regardless of who is selling the card, if a mod is being made at the factory, the same mod will be applied to all because they are done at the same factory.
So no one company is making better or worse quality cards, it's the different companies interal tweaking (Bios) and testing to make sure that said cards are performing to standards.........;)

An aftermarket cooler for the 7950GX2 would make Quad-SLi impossible as most good after market coolers are 2-slot and this card is already 2-slot. Who really is gonna buy these cards anyhow? I don't think there is a board that has 3 slots between the 2 PCI-E 16x slots.

Really? I know that OC'ing their cards doesn't void the warranty. I thought there was no manufacturer that allows you to use a aftermarket VGA cooler without voiding the warranty.

Regarding its price...the article first (when I posted news here) said it will cost around $850! And now...they changed it to $850-1000....so if we wait for a week or two....I guess we will get the final price of around $2000....
Who cares...we dont really need this do we? 8-)
