Join Bjorn3D in a Battlefield 2 game and win great prizes!!

On Saturday the 24th of June we at Bjorn3D will stress-test our Game Server by hosting a 64 people Battlefield 2 game.

The server will open up at 4:00PM Eastern and we will play for a few hours after that. Everyone helping us will have the chance of winning cool prizes from XFX. How do a XFX 7900GT VIVO, XFX Headphones + mic and a XFX gamepad sound?

The spots for participating are limited so anyone wanting to help us should head for our forums, register and post in this thread.

After you have registered here and told us the name you will be using on the server well will send you the password and IP number for the server.

Long time reader of the site. I play BF2 daily mostly in Insomnia365 Wake only servers. Saw this and felt compelled to help since BF is usually what I do on Saturdays anyway. Count me in.

I think we got a Teamspeak-server up and running there to. Will check it out tonight.

The aim with this game is as we said mostly to stress-test the game-server that we are testing from The Planet. It is also to have fun. That's why we didn't do a straight most points = win competition. Of course that will be a large factor but also behaviour towards other players, team-play etc.

Team-balancing will probably we on but during the game if we feel something isn't working, we'll just change. Those who want can also be in the IRC-room togehter with me and Scott.

So, once again. We want to have fun at the same time we are testing. We think it will be cool to play with you guys and I hope you will think that to.

The server actually is up all the time, right now without a password. I'm going to send out the pw on Saturday morning (CET time) as well as giving it out over PM or in the IRC-room if needed.

Argh this would have worked if my local LAN shop didnt have only one copy of the game and used a cracked copy on all of their rigs; damnit stupid "Invalid CD Key"; I was quite upset I couldn't partake in the fun :( I guess I should have tried to get a copy earlier.

How does a XFX 7900GT sound?

Well, it sounds like it would be a lot better then my ATI X800 piece of junk. Which is why I played from start to finish, and played well. I had a lot of fun with you guys today. SwedBear and Scott are not the best BF2 players on the planet, but they sure are very giving with their prizes! :mrgreen: I could really use a new video card, so I am crossing my fingers!

If I had not felt so bad for the Chinese side and switched, we would have kept running right over them. I'm glad I switched sides, so that we could have such a long battle.

my favorite part was right at the end; i think there were only 4 or 5 of us on the servers still. stinkfinger and myself rushed the bottom base on daqing and ran into scott, who was defending.

the firefight started with stink bailing out and me running him over for tk #1 while scott tore into the car w/ a full clip. i was playing as medic and dove down behind the car to shock stinkfinger back to life as scott's nades started to rain in. stink and i scattered, and i saw scott run around the corner of a house to regroup/reload.

i lob my entire inventory at him as stinkfinger rushes the opposite side to pin him, but scott hides or buries himself underground or something, and instead stink walks onto one of the nades i've thrown. i see his body fly over the roof for tk #2. so i get pissed and charge, but scotts entire weapon selection consists of a backpack of grenades which i can't avoid with bunny hopping.

ultimately i respawn at the center base, minus 12 points. classic sequence.

Yea but that wake battle was indeed the longest and most intense round ive ever been a part of. I had a bunch of real good screen shots of the mayhem but for some reason they didnt make it into the folder.:( Anyways i cant wait for the next tourny when every1 brings their A-game again. Could it have been because you were using a cracked version of BF2? Cause you needed a legit retail copy in order to participate... ? just askin', is all, cause it seemed like you missed out on that part of the inital competition conversation...

You cannot go online with the cracked version, you may only play single player and host LAN games.
