Hey guys i've decided that I want to get a new sound card.. And I thought that I should also get some speakers! Here are the speakers I was looking at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16836116153
Now i'm also trying to figure out which sound card to get .. I'm thinking the Creative Sound Blaster Audigy2 ZS or the Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeMusic. What sound card do you guys recommend? I do alot of gaming also so. Well any help will be appreciated ^_^ Thanks!

Those speakers look to be pretty good, judging by the 100+ 4 or 5 star ratings at least ;)

I don't know much about sound cards, but if you're getting that big a speaker setup I guess the Audigy SE is a little below what you are looking for... As long as price isn't much of a problem then the X-FI would definitely be the best one. If price IS the problem, then I don't see any reason to grab a Audigy2ZS over the $30 Audigy SE which has newer hardware. I've not found one review of the Audigy SE yet, however...

The X-fi pared with THX speakers is just simply 1 word - awesome. When I got my X-fi, it exceeded my expectations.

Those X-FI cards are damn sweet but I really don't care to pay so much for a soundcard when my SB Live! works just fine.

Well I gave in and bought the Creative Audigy SE today at BestBuy, since I had an old gift card to get rid of...

That has to be the best $32 I've spent for an upgrade! I was using AC97 previously, and before that a ~6 year old Soundblaster card... It's like someone stitched in the background to all of my music now, and that's just with some high fidelity KOSS stereophones... I'm going to have to upgrade my Altec Lansing 2.1 speakers to do this sound card justice. :???:

I haven't even tried games yet, or played around with the myriad of options and settings...

I've not seen a single review for the Audigy SE card anywhere, but for $28 at Walmart for the retail card that uses newer/better hardware than the old Audigy 2 ZS cards, this has to be one heck of a deal...

A person was selling a X-Fi XtremeMusic for $100CAD which is a good deal but thats to much I wanted to pay. I am more about nice graphics than good sound.

I love my SB Audigy2 ZS Gamer... didn't think that there would be much of a difference between that and and X-Fi, but for the right price, I might take the plunge ;)

I have both (Audigy2ZS on older PC, X-FI on newest PC), both give me no sound issues, both give extraordinary good sound. :)
