I have one of the infamous 7900GT EE cards that artifacts and crashes in most games. I sent a support ticket to XFX over a week ago and have received only very limited response. I understand that XFX and other companies will be getting new cards without this issue within a week or two, and I'd like to have this solved ASAP, but I can't even get RMA info out of them, or anything else.

xfxsupport, if you see this, PM me and I'll give you the email address I used to submit my ticket(s). Thanks much.

Ticket # is 57887, all problems and questions are contained within. Like I said, I've gotten response, but it's been very limited, so I don't know what's gonna happen with my card.

dbunder, I was just wondering as to the status of your dilemna... please give us an update ;)

(sorry to bump an old post, but hey, I'm curious as to how it all played out ;))

Not played out yet, unfortunately. I had two options - send in my card and wait until the new ones were in, or keep it for 2d apps and whatnot and be put on a list at XFX to be notified when the new ones in, then start the RMA process. I opted for the second, since for my work, I need my desktop. No news yet.

The support team simply said "you are on the list, and we are still debating on what to do about it." Not a direct quote, but what I get from this is they don't know if they're cross shipping yet, etc.

If I don't get any updates to my ticket by Tuesdayish, I'm gonna poke at support again to see what's up.

I bugged XFX support about my ticket, and got a quick reply. A representative said they'll be getting the new cards "within the next few days." No word on cross shipping, or RMA process, or anything else just yet. I'll of course keep you guys updated!
