The Intel Processor Identification Utility was developed by Intel Corporation to identify the processor inside a system, assuring the processor contains intended technologies and is operating at the tested and rated frequency intended by Intel Corporation.

I guess Intel wanted to copy CPU-Z or was it the other way around now....

its better now because this is made for intel and will provide more accurate readings:mrgreen:

i just used it and it is not only very basic but not accurate at all, its just a labbeling of the exact statement at intel whitesheets, im bored of it cpu-z is way better

Thanks for the update! But I just have to say... "...and is operating at the tested and rated freuency intended..." part pretty much rules out most Intel users... :mrgreen:

Anyone tried this on a Athlon 64 system, just for grins?

I'll give it a try; nope doesn't work on a non-Intel rig.

Heh, thanks for trying ;)

If this was the same utility I tried awhile back, it was very picky that I'd OCed my processor beyond the original specs... And it indeed wasn't really anything CPU-Z doesn't have already. CPU-Z didn't require a full install/unisnstall though...
