Prize: AGEIA PhysX card

We've hidden the PhysX logo seen below in a post on the forum. The post could be of any age, in any of the subforums and about anything - it's your job to find it.

As there's a good few posts on our forums, we don't expect you to find it straight away, so every 2 days for the next 2 weeks we'll be giving out clues (in this post) as to where it might be.

Once you've found the logo, you need to e-mail its location to news[at]overclock3d(dot)net. You will then be entered as a finalist into a draw which will take place at the end of the competition.

Conditions

Use of automated tools or tools other than the search function on this forum are prohibited and will result in your competition entry being voided. You can, of course browse the forums manually.

You must be a registered Overclock3D forum member. Click HERE to register for free.

On finding the PhysX image, you must keep its location secret, sending it's location only to news[at]overclock3d(dot)net. Besides, sending it's location to others severely reduces your chances of winning.

Competition winner will be announced on the 21/07/2006. All entries up to this time will be accepted.

Shipping to most countries is free, however, if you live in a remote part of the world, please check with us if any shipping charges will be incurred.

i can multi-task but now im writing a review for nvidia guy, scrimming on cs at certain times in windowed mode and listening to music and msn its hard you dont believe how fast im typing now

It took me around 30mins or so. They sort of give you hint on how to look for it but they don't tell you directly. Thats how I saw it.

Okay, fine. I won't give any more help or anymore clues. Do the work yourself. And if someone other then you wins the prize you can blame me for giving a vague clue; the same clue that will probably be given out this week.

Quite honestly I will pass on that contest. Nothing really makes use of the card yet so IMO its kind of a pointless gadget at this stage. :)

But what if you do have a use in the future? use it as a paper weight until then or you could always sell it.

Man, that is one expensive gadget! I would like it just so I could experiment with new technologies. It would only be useful in games, I suppose.

If I win it, I will pair it with the 7900GT I won here, and see if I can't find a use for it somehow. I'm pretty creative, I think I will make use of it somehow. Even if I don't, I have a spare PCI slot, so nothing is lost.

Only game that is out so far that uses it is GRAW (Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter). You can alos use it on the CellFactor demo and I think Ageia has a physic program you can mess around with. So far there is no killer app for it.

If you do win the PhysX card expect much in GRAW as using the card doesn't really do anything in tests reviewed when it first came out.

I couldn't possibly forget that I won last months contest! I have a brand new NV Silencer 5 R3 just waiting to be installed, along with some RAM sinks.

The Accelero X1 is compatible with some 7900GTs and the NV5 rev3 is not. Arctic Cooling's Accelero S1 is compatible though. Expect the S1 in Augest.

Argh, still trying to find that pic/logo/whatever.... although I admit, trying to find such an obscure thing at 1am in the morning maybe wasn't such a good idea... I'll try again sometime this weekend ;)
