I couldn't tell if this should go in the member news forum or here, but I caught this on digg. 99 Windows XP Tweaks/Tips (http://www.pcstats.com/articleview.cfm?articleID=1590)

Some of these are obvious, but others are new to me, and it is nice to have a decent size list. For those of us who are looking to get every last ounce of performance out of our machines (or are trying to speed up XP running on a 450mhz machine like me), this could be very useful.

hahaha nice clockspeed you got there vfrex, i actually read that and it helps especially with my 700mhz celeron machine that is now not struggling as much to run XP, i wonder if i can run vista on it, ill try and hope the pc wont burn to the ground lol

I'd be more concerned about your 700mhz running vista burning the house down for sure. Are you sure that machine is "Vista-ready"?

Just think of this: Vista needs at least one year before it reaches maturity. That's exactly what happened to XP. And it has huge memory requirements.
And games don't run better than in XP on Vista.
And it doesn't worth the trouble yet.
So, why ?
