Besides me, I am sure that many are curious how the average day unfolds for the awe-post-inspiring werty316. I am almost certain he has Dr. Octopus-like cyber-arms that click away on titanium keyboards at 300 wpm. Let hope that the man himself will post some secrets here.

He spends all day with his wife, by now he's got 5 kids who do all his posting:mrgreen:

Does he really have a wife and children? I didn't get that impression.

Werty, where are you??? It's already been 30 minutes! Can't you hear the alarms? There's a post to reply to!!!

So take a minute and introduce yourself. Tell us how you stay on top of these things, too.

LOL, I'd laugh my ass of if he had some kind of alarm when he gets a reply  On the other hand, I remember a lot of forums having a function that sends you an e-mail when there's a reply. I've used that before and it's actually pretty handy, maybe werty uses this?

No I don't have a wife and kids, I don't want a ball n' chain tugging at me. You can actually get emails in this forum too when there is a reply; if I did enabled that I would 100s and 100s of emails a day. The good ol' "New Posts" button is good enough.

I'm not sure he could reply from the emails. We would know more about him, but he seems to be a recluse.

Werty: put down your Sega and start posting!

I really don't see what a ball 'n chain have to do with having a wife and kids. (Or is this some kind of english expression I just don't get right?)

Yes, it is a slang expression describing the state of a marriage. It is to mean you are locked down.

Funny thread.

Yeah, thought about using that but came to the same realization. The emails for this forum only send a generic link to the main forum page anyway... My question is, haven't you of all people noticed any missed posts not showing up with the "New Posts" button?

My experience with the new posts button on every forum is that they only do their work half. I've used it a lot and well, you miss out on a few threads now and then because of it.

I don't have to so,... no.

Based on all the posts that do show up in the "New Posts" its hard to say if some are missing because there are so many ;) but there have been once or twice where new threads didn't show up for me.

The "New Posts" function seems to work ok, until you leave the site or close the original window that you were viewing things in. At that point, it seems to save all topics as "read".

So I guess my "How I became a post-er boy. The werty316 story" was a bust. I was hoping werty would give us some pointers to making us better posters.

LOL, I don't really think there is something as "a better poster". Posting is just replying to something in a useful manner, there really is no secret to it as far as I know.

If there really is no secret to how he does it, then I am a sad writer. He can pull a decent reply out of the worst posts. And by the time you reply to his reply, he has already posted five news reports and made two replies in other topics; not to mention playing a game and taking the high score on some other site. All at the same time. It like werty is omnipresent.

werty316 - the number refers to how many people use that login.

Actually, there's no secret. werty just likes to be online. And he thinks about what he types.

Thx; after all, spam posts don't count so I might as well put my brain to some use ;)

...I've been trying to stay on my low spam diet. It's been working: my post count is pretty lean!

But how do you post so much, you would have to be on like 24/7. Or are you already on your vacation???

I wasn't saying I was gonna win definitely as you know; I was just joking ;) but as long as the forum is active with discussions and you have something concrete so to say, anyone can a high post count.

Funny, I've never considered spending time online as "human contact".
