He who has the most systems folding wins, so folks with only one system at home kind of lose out. Seen that happen at another forum where a guy worked at a data center and got his boss to let him rum F@H on a ton of systems, guess who won..............:(

I was thinking the same thing, on the other hand, if there would be only one system allowed then the guy with the most $ who has the fastest system would win. If you look at it that way, then I think multiple systems is more fair.

I can see the arguement brewing already. Discuss this over here: http://www.bjorn3d.com/forum/showthread.php?t=9003

Thats why if you have any friends or family that care about you they will let you use their machines also.
Start bribing people.

So it is ok then to have as many computers as you can gather doing this? It's your contest, but I think that people like me who manage servers may have an unfair advantage.

rather than who has the most point, we can actually do a minimum folding (that way we would helped out as well) and whoever got the min will earn a spot in the pool. And if you fold more, you may get extra spot. Maybe this will give everybody a chance.

I don't think a user should be limited to one machine after all it is who can fold the most right?

I was thinking similiarly. BFG Gaming did it way back for folding in which they would pick a random winner. Although I forget how they did it exactly, I'd have to go back and read since it was June or July of 2005.

There are parts of this idea I like. I think that for every completed project, you should get one entry into a random drawing. More completed projects means more entries, but everyone still has a chance to win.

Yeah, that sounds pretty good to me Das.... just to give everyone a fair chance of winning. Some people will only have access to their own personal computer (like myself, we have Macs at work, not that I'd use work comps for this competition ;)) but would still have a chance at participating/earning a prize...
BTW, on average, how long does it take to complete a project?

It has taken my Pentium D 950 about 9 hours to reach 25%.
