I know I know, big deal... but they at least look pretty. And if you need to kill 10 minutes you can try to figure out which program each icon goes to...

Microsoft continues to polish one of its major bread-winners

For those of you that have been using the Office 2007 Beta 2 (http://www.dailytech.com/article.aspx?newsid=2494) release, you've noticed that the icons used and splash screens for the applications are the older versions used in Office 2003. Microsoft has revealed a revamped set of icons (http://www.laptoplogic.com/news/detail.php?id=1128) that are more in keeping with Office 2007's fresh new look.

If Microsoft can stick to its revised launch schedule for Office 2007, we can expect to see the new office suite on store shelves in the opening months of 2007. Prices for Office 2007 (http://dailytech.com/article.aspx?newsid=834) will range from $149 for Office Home and Student 2007 to $499 for Office Professional 2007.

With such a big deal for Office 2007, new icons is a nice touch and the only ones I can figure out is Outlook, Word, and Excel.
