Heyy

I have used the Knoppix distribution since version 3.6 and is mostly satisfied with it...
But i have a question regarding how to install it...
I did go to the root console and type in "knoppix-installer" then it starts a guide and so, but when i install it there are some options, like "debian" or "knoppix"... It recommends Debian:S... But I want knoppix, since it is easy to use...
But when I boot after i have installed it, then it wont really start... don't really know what the matter is... All i want is my pc to be exactly the same as from the Live-dvd...
Note that i'm using the newest version 5.0.1 dvd version to install...

But are there anyone familiar with knoppix out there:confused: ...

I think it is usually recommended that you don't install Knoppix as a full time OS. Why not go with Debian or Ubuntu or Suse or Fedora? For the most part, they do work out of the box after installation.

In fact, I think Ubuntu's install CD is actually a live-cd now as well. Why not give that a shot, and if you like it, continue on and install it.

:D great, i'll try that...
But is it with a graphical interface? I'm not really up for learning all the nerdy stuff, like those weirdo commands... Did that in Dos, and that's enough:p...

Lol yeah, graphical interface and everything. Suse too. In fact, I think I might reinstall Suse in a few minutes.

Sweet:-D
But, don't Suse cost money... Or do they still have a free version?
